Amazon Inc. (AMZN:NSD) Analysts cut targets on Valuation, but Bullish case emerges

Analyst Coverage Change:

On January 11th, Cowen maintained the Outperform rating on Amazon Inc., and lowered the 12 month price target to $140 from $160.

Last week, Jefferies also lowered the target on the stock to $125. New street Initiated the stock with a $135 target, and UBS Securities cut their target to $125. Canaccord Financial reduced their target to $135, while STA Research cut to $125 per share.

Amazon’s Bullish Case:

Amazon lost over half its value last year, but so far in the new year Amazon’s  stock is up 13%. A number of aspects of Amazon’s mass business network will continue to push the company’s growth, as the company currently sports an attractive valuation and buy proposition.

Amazon Web Services continues to be the major growth driver.  The segment is still showing “resilience,” even though it is anticipated that expenditure on cloud infrastructure will be restrained by rising inflation and a technical recession.

Amazon’s Advertising division, is predicted to represent 7% of worldwide digital ad revenue,  as more marketers are shifting to Amazon’s retail media network, in order to bypass  Apple’s privacy changes and get closer to buyers.
